Cuisine and Flavors

Breakfast is served in the monastery's refectory. Lunch and dinner are reached by crossing the cloister, a few steps to Benedikto. From up there, the view opens onto the Rocca Maggiore and the Rocca Minore, the rooftops, the bell towers of Assisi. In the warmer months, you eat on the terrace, outdoors. The cuisine is Umbrian, seasonal, without excess. Each dish honors its ingredients and brings them to the table with the same simplicity that runs through the stay.

The Territory on the Plate

Black truffle from Norcia, extra-virgin olive oil from selected producers, cheeses and meats from farms a few kilometers away, pasta made by hand each day. This is not a kitchen that follows trends. It follows the territory and the season, with contemporary precision. Whoever returns to Nun in a different month finds another menu, and the same hand.

Breakfast

Each morning, in the monastery's refectory. Bread and pastries baked in-house, artisan jams, cheeses and cured meats from the territory, fresh fruit. The room is the thirteenth-century one, with its original stone and vaults. So the day begins at Nun.

Lunch

You cross the cloister and climb up to Benedikto. The lunch menu is light and precise, made for those arriving from the Spa or from a morning through the streets of Assisi. Outside, the Rocca Maggiore and the Rocca Minore.

Aperitivo

The light shifts, the day slows. A glass of Umbrian wine, something to eat with the hands, the view turning color at sunset. The aperitivo at Benedikto is the natural passage between afternoon and evening.

Dinner

In the evening, Benedikto changes. The menu follows the season of Umbrian ingredients and unfolds slowly, course after course. Outside, the rocche light up. In spring and summer, you dine on the terrace.
